I’m very pleased to offer this exquisite circa-1900 2-shade pendant!
The fixture would have been used in a home built in the late 1890s or very early 20th-century.
It is delicious.
The fixture is all brass, and this has a beautiful mottled patina which I but gently polished. Originally, the fixture would have been polished bright, but this was in an era of much lower wattage bulbs, and with rooms darkened by heavy drapes.
The gorgeous shades have a subtle iridescent finish. (NOTE: While the fixture photographed well, the shades are even nicer in person.)
Note the lovely original ceiling canopy.
The fixture is now 38-1/2-inches long. I may be able to adjust this up/down; just let me know!
The turn-key sockets (quite distinctive) appear to be original.
With new wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included).
COLOR: See above. As well, the shades have a very pale golden hue.
SIZE: See above. As well, the fixture is wide 28-inches wide, shade to shade. The fitters are 2-1/4-inches.
- I love writing this: there’s no damage.
- The sockets are original (and in fine shape) with new wiring.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
