1905 Early Electric pendants FOUR
Out of stock
I’m very pleased to offer this extraordinary opportunity:
FOUR matching circa-1905 Early Electric pendants!
This listing is for FOUR matching fixtures.
Fixtures such as this were used from the late 1890s through to the early 1920s, and were normally placed in utility areas of a home, or in simple commercial applications. You would not, for example, have seen such fixtures in the main hall of a bank. These fixtures were inexpensive in their day and thus not highly regarded. Consequently, they were casually discarded over the decades. Today, their extreme rarity has hugely inflated their value. As well, their innate simplicity is now much appreciated.
And to have a set of four? Incredible.
The turn-key sockets have a lovely patina which I but gently polished.
The ceiling canopies are porcelain. Yep, way cool.
The original electric cords were cloth-covered, as are the NEW cloth-covered cords. Wow.
The shades are stunning, with distinctive scalloped bottoms and stars in relief.
The overall height is now 39-inches, but this is easily reduced by pulling the cords up through the ceiling canopy.
This set is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: Each fixture accepts one standard base 60W bulb (not included).
COLOR: White. Dark brass.
SIZE: See above. As well, the fitters are 2-1/4-inches. The shades are 7-inches wide.
- The only issue is a 1/4-inch crack at the bottom edge of one shade. You have to look for it.
- The sockets are original (and in fine shape) with new cloth-covered wiring and paper insulators.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
