I’m very pleased to offer this striking pair of circa-1905 gas/electric brass sconces!
This listing is for two identical fixtures.
Each sconce has two electric arms. These have new wiring. In the center is gas jet apparatus, with what seems like a round control knob. I’ve never seen this before. It’s very cool.
I have a house built in 1894, and with gas/electric fixtures. They are all newly wired and the gas arms are simply dormant.
I love the sweeping center arm!
The fixtures have a lovely patina which I but gently polished.
Each socket has a turn-key switch. The sconces can also be controlled by a wall switch, assuming your room is wired as such.
Wholly restored and with new sockets and wiring, this pair is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixtures accept standard base 60W bulbs (not included).
COLOR: See above.
SIZE: The sconces are almost 14-inches wide (with shades), and they project about 12-inches (also with shades). The overall height is 10-1/2-inches (with shades). The mounting canopy is 4-1/2-inches square.
- I love writing this: there’s no damage.
- The sockets are original (and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulators.
- The mounting ring on one sconce is new.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
