Description
I’m very pleased to offer this fascinating 1913 Brascolite!
I love Brascolites. They were specifically designed to increase wattage while reducing electricity costs! How very modern!
“The ideal light for every purpose!”
This fixture is extraordinary: It’s huge! It’s the largest Brascolite I’ve ever offered. It’s 14-inches long, and a whopping 23-inches wide. The shade is 14-inches wide.
The ceiling mount features three luscious stamped-brass decorations. These retain their original antiqued copper finish.
The edge of the ceiling mount is gold with a coppery hue. The bottom of the mount is enameled white.
The fixture takes one 300W bulb, and the thick glass shade diffuses this, while the bright white enamel bounces the light into your room. A 200W-equivalent LED bulb would be ideal.
The shade is held by three Brascolite hooks, and these ingeniously adjust to assure that the shade is totally level.
The fixture retains its original and all-important mounting bar. You can’t hang it otherwise!
While Brascolite’s were first created in 1913, they sold for many decades thereafter.
This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture has a Mogul-base socket, with a standard base insert. The fixture accepts one standard base 300W or 200W bulb. A 200W-equivalent LED bulb would be ideal.
COLOR: See above.

The only issue is a flea bite to the edge of the shade. I only noticed when washing the shade.
