I’m very pleased to offer this extraordinary circa-1915 hanging fixture!
I mean, wow. Wow! I have never offered anything like this fixture previously.
The metal components are mostly brass, and this retains its gold polychrome with brass accents. Lovely.
There are four sockets circling the center body. Fabulous! Each socket has an acanthus-style bobeche. Under the sockets is an acanthus frieze.
The large shade is just stunning, and features a four-leaf acanthus cluster. Dazzling!
The fixture would look incredible over a dining table, or hanging in a stairhall.
All the wiring is new, and the vertical wiring is cloth-covered like the original. Nice.
The chain and ceiling canopy are original.
Really unusual fixtures like this thrill me.
This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts five standard base 60W bulbs (not included). You can use clear Edison-style LED bulbs, which would look very well.
COLOR: Brass. Gold. White.
SIZE: The fixture hangs down about 38-inches and is 14-inches wide (without bulbs. 18-wide with the bulbs shown). I can remove up to 10-inches of chain; I can add chain. The fitter is 6-inches.
The brass body exhibits stress lines along the vertical panel which the bulbs are attached to. This is common to vintage brass.
The sockets are original (and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulators.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
