I’m very pleased to offer this luscious 1920s strap-style polychrome chandelier!
This type fixture is called strap-style because it’s made primarily from flat metal bars, like belt straps. What I love about such fixtures is how curvaceous they are. Just lovely to look at. The style was very popular in the 1920s and 1930s, and used in a variety of home styles including bungalows, Arts & Crafts, Spanish-Revival, Colonial-Revival, and Four-squares.
In the center of the fixture is a very sweet floral cluster, and with five amber glass drops. I love such details.
The fixture retains its original polychrome, and I will gently restore this before shipping. The wiring will all be new, and cloth-covered like the original.
This fixture will be shipped wholly restored and with new wiring, ready to hang, and with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included).
COLOR: Dark gold with red and green accents.
SIZE: The fixture hangs down about 38-inches and is 19-1/2-inches wide. I can remove up to 13-inches of chain; I can add chain.
- I love writing this: there’s no damage.
- The sockets are original (and in fine shape). They will have new wiring and paper insulators.
The amber glass drops are new. That the fixture had such drops is evidenced by the tell-tale mounting holes. I chose amber as it was popular in the 1920s.
- The polychrome is original and only needs some minor touching-up.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
