Description

I’m very pleased to offer this striking 1920s pan-style 5-bulb chandelier!

Pan-style fixtures were wildly popular through the 1910s, 1920s, and into the 1930s, and were used in a variety of home style such as bungalows, Art & Crafts, Mission, Colonial, and foursquare.

The bottom of the fixture features a wonderful acanthus leaf frieze delicately colored with the original jade and ruby polychrome. It’s both subtle and stunning! The socket rings and ceiling canopy also have delicate polychrome.

Most of the fixture is stamped brass, which largely retains its original finish.

All the wiring is new, and the vertical wire is cloth-covered like the original. Nice.

This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included). Clear Edison-style dimmable LED bulbs would look great.
COLOR: See above. As well, the main color is a dark gold.
SIZE: The fixture hangs down about 36-inches and is 18-inches wide. The main pan is 16-wide. I can remove up to 12-inches of chain; I can add chain.
CONDITION:
The sockets are original (and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulators.
The chain is original and is clearly vintage.
The polychrome is original and in good vintage condition, with the expected small bits of loss. The finish on top of the pan was badly damaged so I stripped this down to brass. This cannot be seen under normal viewing.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
