1920s pan chandelier by Beyer

I’m very pleased to offer this extraordinary pan-style circa-1920 chandelier by L. Beyer!

Pan-Style fixture were introduced in the 1910s, and were wildly popular through to the 1930s. Most were inexpensive. Some were not, as with this chandelier.

The main body, rather than being made of stamped brass, is cast brass. Yes, cast brass. Wow. It is rich with details in high relief.

Another remarkable detail are the brass decorative bandings to the sockets, upper vase, and ceiling canopy. These banding are stamped brass and are lusciously molded. Wow.

Also of interest are the “bobeches” just above the light bulbs. I’ve never seen this particular feature before.

The finish is original. It’s brown but with a gold hue. The finish is original, in excellent condition, and is distinctive to the period.

Note, too, that the finial and ceiling canopy are original.

All the wiring is new, and cloth covered like the original. Nice.

This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included).
COLOR: See above.
SIZE: The fixture hangs down 32-1/2-inches (without bulbs) and is 20-inches wide. I can remove up to 7-inches of chain; I can add chain.
The sockets are original (and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulators.
The original chain was corroded (this is common). The new chain precisely matches the original in terms of scale and shape.
The brown finish is original and in very good vintage condition. There are small bits of loss, mostly to the tops of the socket housings. This is not easy to see.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
