Description

I’m very pleased to offer this stunning 1920s chandelier!

Style-wise, the chandelier would be considered Romantic Revival, which was highly popular in the 1920s. The look would suit a Colonial-style home, bungalow, foursquare, or Arts & Crafts.

The white glass shades are gorgeous! Note how the ‘arrow’ motif is kinda repeated in the long metal finial. When lighted, the shades develop a subtle iridescent quality. I love this (see first image).

The fixture retains its original polychrome of gold, with red and green accents.

The fixture is scaled for a medium-sized room. It’s 34-long, and 16-1/2-inches wide (measured diagonally shade edge to shade edge), or 14-wide (not diagonally).

All the wiring is new, and the vertical wire is cloth-covered like the original. Nice.

This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included). Clear Edison-style LED bulbs would look well.
COLOR: See above.
SIZE: See above. As well, I can remove up to 12-inches of chain. I can add chain. The fitter is 2-1/4-inches.
CONDITION:
There is a stress crack to the side of the ceiling canopy (the crack reads as a line; it’s not an open crack), and numerous small dings to the brass components.
One shade has a small chip to its fitting end. This cannot be seen. One shade has a small chip to its inside bottom edge. This doesn’t really register. The bottom edge of all the shades is rough (which is how they were manufactured).
The bottom finial was missing. I used a clear glass sphere. (Note: After I photographed the fixture I found a 1920s amber glass teardrop crystal. I like this better, and will ship the fixture with both finial options!)
The sockets are original (and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulators.
The polychrome is original with but small bits of loss.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
