1920s Spanish sconces. SEVEN!

Out of stock

I’m very pleased to offer this extraordinary opportunity:
SEVEN 1920s Spanish-Revival sconces!

This listing is for SEVEN fixtures.

The sconces came from a house in Los Angeles. While all are from the same set, they have three different finishes. This wasn’t unusual for the era, as lighting companies normally offered a range of finishes, and buyers could select X finish for their living room, and Y finish for the foyer, and so on.

The sconces are all cast brass, and beautifully detailed.

In the first image, starting on top:
TWO 1-arm sconces. These have a gold varnish over the brass.
ONE 1-arm sconce. This matches the above, although the back plate is, curiously, slightly different.
TWO 2-arm sconces with a gold polychrome.
TWO 2-arm sconces with a dark silver polychrome.

The sconces are not yet restored. They will be shipped fully restored. The finishes will all be cleaned, and the sockets and wiring will be new.

NOTE: You could have the set refinished in, say, matte black or bronze.

This set will be shipped ready to hang, and with all the mounting hardware needed!

The fixtures accept standard base 60W bulbs (not included). Clear flame-style LED bulbs would look well.
The single 1-arm sconce has an on/off switch. As I don’t trust old switches I deactivated this. If this feature is important please contact me.
The mounting buttons are replacements.
COLOR: See above.
The 1-arm sconces are 10-inches high (minus bulb) and a bit shy of 4-wide. They project 6-1/2-inches.
The 2-arm sconces are also 10-high (minus bulbs), and 10-wide. They project 5-inches.
I love writing this: there’s no damage.
The sockets and wiring are new.
The candle covers are new.
The finishes are in good vintage condition, with but small bit of loss, minor scuffs, and obvious age.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
