1930s light. Large. Great for kitchen

I’m very pleased to offer this incredible late 1930s aluminum and glass surface-mounted Moderne fixture!

The shade is a whopping 21-inches wide, but the fixture is only 14-inches high – so it’s ideal for a room with a low ceiling.

The fixture accepts a 300W bulb so the amount of light is very impressive, while the shade diffuses the bulb for an attractive quality of light. Nice. Very nice. You can also use a 200W-equivalent LED bulb.

I also love the decorative gray band around the shade bottom.

The canopy is ingenious (the cup that touches the ceiling). It simply pulls down on a metal spring bar. Very very cool. As such, the fixture has a wonderful simplicity about it. No visible mounting screws!

The fixture was originally meant for a commercial setting but today its aesthetic is highly valued for domestic interiors, too.

Wholly restored and with new wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The fixture accepts one Mogul-size 300W bulb. These are available from any good hardware store or online. A socket reducer would allow a standard size base, 200W-equivalent LED bulb, also available online.
COLOR: White shade with gray details. Aluminum.
SIZE: See above.

  • The aluminum has some subtle scuffing.
  • The socket is original (and in fine shape) with new wiring.

SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
