1930s porcelain green lavender ceiling fixture by Porcelier!
1 in stock
I’m very pleased to offer this surface-mounted porcelain 1930s 2-bulb by the famous PORCELIER company.
For many decades, Porcelier made some of the finest lighting fixtures and house wares (they closed in the 1950s). There’s a book on their work:
Collector’s Guide to Porcelier China
By Susan E. Grindberg
This fixture is one of Porcelier’s most extraordinary designs. The curvaceous body has luscious Dr. Seuss-like shapes and curves, and a lovely green and lavender color scheme. Wow! Please also note the porcelain socket rings!
Above all though, don’t miss the incredible porcelain finial! Yes, a porcelain finial! This fixture is rarely found with its original finial intact.
The fixture is ideal for a bathroom, powder room, or small bedroom.
Wholly restored and with new wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included).
COLOR: Green (kinda a pale mint) and lavender.
SIZE: The fixture hangs down about 5-1/2-inches and is 7-5/8-inches by 12-1/2-inches.
- The only issue is a chip to the upper part of the finial (shown in all images; close-up at last image). This is not easily seen with the fixture eight or more feet in the air.
- There are subtle manufacturing irregularities. This is normal.
- The sockets are original. The wiring is new.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
