Description

I’m very pleased to offer this dazzling 1940s crystal chandelier!

WOW!

Of particular note are the five wheel-cut glass shades. The designs are not frosted on but are rather CUT into the glass via a grinding wheel. Stunning!

The glass bobeches are wonderfully detailed!

The stem is made from richly molded glass.

The finial sphere on the very bottom? It’s an on/off switch!

The metal components are mostly brass, which has a lovely dark patina.

All the wiring is new, and the vertical wire is cloth-covered like the original. Nice.

If you have house built in the 1940s or early 1950s, this chandelier can offer some period-correct bling!

This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS:
The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included). Clear Edison-style LED bulbs would look well.
The ceiling canopy is a replacement. It is period.
COLOR: See above.
SIZE: The fixture hangs down about 33-inches and is 19-inches wide. I can remove about 13-inches of chain; I can add chain.
CONDITION:
I love writing this: there’s no damage. Amazing.
The sockets and wiring are new.
The original chain was corroded (this is common). The new chain precisely matches the original in terms of scale and shape.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
