1940s foyer pendant by Lightolier. MORE AVAILABLE
2 in stock
I’m very pleased to offer this stunning circa-1940 foyer pendant by the incomparable Lightolier Company!
Beginning in the 1920s, and for many decades thereafter, the Lightolier Company (extant today of course) made some of the very finest fixtures. Their designs were always simply dazzling, and the quality was the very very very best. When you restore vintage lights such as I do, these aspects are so obvious they tend to jump out. It’s always a particular pleasure restoring a Lightolier!
The bell shade features frosted grape vines. Love it! Above, there is a glass “smoke” bell, made in Czechoslovakia.
There are two “candles”.
And I have one more!
When the fixture is lighted, wonderful shadows are thrown on the ceiling and walls.
With new wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts two candelabra base 60W bulbs (not included).
COLOR: See above.
SIZE: The fixture hangs down 19-1/2-inches and is 6-inches wide. I can remove up to 2-1/2-inches of chain; I can add chain.
The shade has a small chip to its bottom edge. This sits in the brass ring and is not easily seen.
The “smoke” bell has a small chip to its top. This cannot be seen.
The sockets are original with new plastic wiring.
The candle covers are new.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
