1950s Eames Mid-century 12 wide globe light. More Available
1 in stock
I’m very pleased to offer an iconic Eames-era globe pendant!
I have the same fixtures listed but a bit shorter at 18-inches. In addition, I have smaller fixtures listed (the globes are 10-wide).
These fixtures were an iconic Eames-era look, were wildly popular in their day, and have enjoyed a recent resurgence.
The globe is 12-inches wide. The length overall is 20-inches.
The stem has a pivot, so if you bonk a shade the fixture will move as opposed to the shade breaking. It is hoped! The fixture can also be used in a room with a shallow vaulted ceiling.
The metal components are aluminum and brass.
Lighted, this type fixture has always reminded me of a full moon. In my house. Cool.
This fixture is wholly restored, with new a socket and wiring, is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts one standard base 100W bulb.
COLOR: White globe. Aluminum. Brass.
SIZE: See above.
- The only issue is minor. The shade has very subtle surface scratches. These are only noticeable in a raking light.
- The porcelain socket and wiring are new.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
