I’m very pleased to offer this circa-1970 pendant fixture by the incomparable Lightolier Company!
Beginning in the 1920s, and for many decades thereafter, the Lightolier Company (extant today of course) made some of the very finest fixtures. Their designs were always simply dazzling, and the quality was the very very very best. When you restore vintage lights such as I do, these aspects are so obvious they tend to jump out. It’s always a particular pleasure restoring a Lightolier!

The incredible shade is very thick, heavy glass, and sprinkled with tiny bubbles inside (how do they do that?). Stunning. I have previously offered similar pendant fixtures by other lighting companies but none had such a gorgeous, high-quality shade.
The shade is impressively long (15-inches) and 4-1/2-inches wide. As such the fixture is scaled for a foyer, stairhall, or hanging low over a side table. The overall length of the fixture is 39-1/2-inches. I can remove up to 19-1/2-inches of chain; I can add chain.
The chain and ceiling mount (all original) appear to be chrome plated.
This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts one standard base 60W bulb. The fixture came with a 10-inch long torpedo-shaped bulb. I will include this but can offer no guarantee on its longevity.
COLOR: See above.
SIZE: See above.
- I love writing this: there’s no damage.
- The socket and wiring are original, and in fine shape.
- There is a subtle tonal irregularity to the ceiling mount.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
