I’m very pleased to offer this glittering circa-1940s silver-plated crystal chandelier!
I just go crazy when I come across a fixture such as this. It is difficult finding vintage crystal chandeliers. It is even more difficult finding them with all their original components, including the stunning glass hurricane shades as shown here. Wow. Wow!
Another highly unusual aspect is the two tiers of colonial-style crystal drops. Gorgeous.
The bobeches are also glass.
The chandelier is 19-inches wide (from edge of shade to edge of shade). Scale-wise, the fixture is ideal for a medium- to small-sized room.
Wholly restored and with new wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts five 40W candelabra-base bulbs.
SIZE: See above. As well, the chandelier is 34-inches long. I can remove up to 10-inches of chain; I can add chain.
- The upper edges of the shades have flea bites and tiny chips. One shade has a larger chip (see image). If this is turned to the center of the chandelier it is difficult to see.
- The crystals have some small chips and flea bits (common to vintage crystal).
The silver plating looks very good.
- All the wiring is new. Normally I would have used new cloth-covered wiring for the vertical run, but this would not fit through the metal stem. Thus is used clear plastic, which just does not register (see images).
- Above each crystal ring is a silver band. These are held in place with tiny silver spheres. One is missing. This is not easily noticed.
