Description
I’m very pleased to offer this remarkable circa-1940 ceiling fixture!
Scale-wise, the fixture is petite, and is ideal for a foyer, bath, powder room, or small bedroom. The fixture is 13-inches wide, and 10-high overall.
The metal components are silver-plated. The main body hugs the ceiling, and from it dangles many many gorgeous hand-blown glass spheres. Wow. Wow!
There is a frosted glass shade, and this features lovely cut glass designs. Gorgeous.
Another glass sphere is the finial.
The effect overall? Simply stunning. So, if you have a small space that needs an unusual and OMG vintage fixture, then this knock-out may be ideal.
Wholly restored and with new sockets and wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts two standard base 60W bulbs.
COLOR: Silver. Glass.
SIZE: See above.
CONDITION:
- I love writing this: there’s no damage.
- The shade has subtle manufacturing irregularities such as bubbles.
- The silver-plate on the upper body is worn and with tonal irregularity (see images). I do not find this unattractive, and the body is not easily seen in any event. The silver on the bottom disk looks excellent.
- The porcelain sockets and wiring are new.
