I’m very pleased to offer this stunning silver-plated chandelier!
I restore and sell vintage lighting. Very occasionally I buy a new-ish light fixture, but only when something about it captures my special attention. This chandelier is less than ten-years-old, but two things about it excited me:
1) It is very high quality, and comparable to the very best lighting fixtures from the 1920s and 30s (and a world away from most modern lighting, which is very cheaply produced). The fixture is quite heavy, substantial, and radiates craftsmanship. Nice.
2) The fixture is large! It is a whopping 35-1/2-inches wide. Wow. I am rarely able offer fixtures of such scale.
There is a center globe, and from this radiates eight arms ending in spears. Love it!
I show the fixture with, and without, shades. The shades are not included. (The shades are 4-inches high. However, I think 6-inch high shades would look even better.)
The whole is silver-plated. This appears to have a deliberate, subtle, and attractive tonal irregularity. At first I just assumed it was a patina but after polishing much of the tonal distinction remained. In short, the silver looks antique rather than brand new.
This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts candelabra base 40W bulbs.
SIZE: See above. As well, the fixture hangs down 41-1/2-inches. I can remove up to 16-inches of chain; I can add chain.
CONDITION: I love writing this: there’s no damage.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
