Description

I’m very pleased to offer this spectacular 1920s pan-style chandelier with four hand-painted ROSE glass shades!

WOW.

The shades are truly incredible. The roses and leaves are hand-pianted inside the shades, and with a white background. There’s also a pale green upper border with white accents. Yep, wow.

The fixture is brass. The main pan body is stamped brass and I polished this due to a badly mottled patina. There are also cast brass components (like the fabulous arms, upper flourish, and finial) and these parts retain a lovely patina. I very much like the polished bits contrasting against the darker bits.

Pan-style fixtures were wildly popular from the 1900s to the 1930s, and were used in all style homes.

All the wiring is new, and cloth-covered like the original. Nice.

This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The fixture accepts standard base 60W bulbs (not included). Clear Edison-style LED bulbs would look great.
COLOR: Bright brass. Dark brass. Multi-colored roses and leaves. White.
SIZE: The fixture hangs down about 36-1/4-inches and is 18-1/2-inches wide (diagonally, shade edge to shade edge) or 14-wide (side by side, shade edge to shade edge). The main body is 11-wide. I can remove up to 13-inches of chain; I can add chain. The fitters are 2-1/4-inches.
CONDITION:
The shades have the standard chips to their fitting ends. This cannot be seen. There are also numerous very subtle flea bites on the bottom edges of the shades. None are readily obvious.
The white finish inside the shades has aged and is now mottled. Some shades have more of the white than others (see images). I find this attractive; it gives the shades a lively expression.
The turn-key sockets are original (and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulators.
The original steel chain was corroded. This is common. The new chain exactly matches the original.
