1920s foyer. Wheel cut shade!

$1,200.00

Description

I’m very pleased to offer this exquisite 1920s brass and glass foyer or stairhall chandelier!

The shade is, frankly, dazzling. It’s thick glass, beautifully molded like a diamond. The intricate designs were cut into the glass by a grinding wheel. And hand-done! No computer laser. Wow.

The brass is also lovely. I love the cast brass ring on the fitter and topping the ceiling canopy.

The over-scale final is also a delight.

The scale is impressive. Most foyer fixtures are on the petite side. Not so here. The overall length is 39-inches. I can remove 7-1/2-inches of chain. The shade itself is 13-long x 8-wide and with a 5-inch fitter. This is easily twice the size of most foyer fixture shades I have listed.

This is a high-quality fixture and was designed for a substantial home.

With new wiring, this fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!

DETAILS: The socket accepts a standard base 60W bulb (not included). You can use an LED bulb. I suggest a clear, dimmable bulb.
COLOR: See above.
SIZE: See above. As well, I can add chain.
CONDITION:
I love writing this: there’s no damage.
The socket appears to be original (and in fine shape) with new wiring and paper insulator.
SHIPPING: Insured shipping in the Continental US will be…FREE!
