I’m very pleased to offer this dazzling 1960s Hollywood Regency crystal chandelier!
WOW!
Brass crystal chandeliers were wildly popular in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, and many iterations are easily found.
But this chandelier is…different:
It’s larger than most: 19-inches wide.
The bobeches (the cups under the candles) are glass rather than the usual brass. Gorgeous!
The bottom of the chandelier abounds with 2-inch crystals!
The upper stem features huge 3-inch crystals!
The cast brass arms are robust and rich with relief.
The overall style is unique. I’ve never offered one like it.
The crystals are hand-cut and polished.
Most of the metal is cast brass.
The vertical wire is new and cloth-covered like the original.
This is a special chandelier.
This fixture is ready to hang, and comes with all the mounting hardware needed!
DETAILS: The fixture accepts candelabra base 60W bulbs (not included). Clear flame-style LED bulbs would look well.
COLOR: Gold. Glass. Ivory candles.
SIZE: See above. As well, the fixture hangs down about 41-inches. I can remove up to 15-inches of chain; I can add chain.
CONDITION:
I love writing this: there’s no damage.
The sockets and their wiring are original (and in fine shape) with new paper insulators.
The candle covers are new.
Most of the original crystals were lost when I purchased the fixture. Enough though remained to inform and I selected all new crystals in two different sizes as the original (3-inch and 2-inch).
